I.. erm... So, he's mad that Microsoft is doing what every company ever does and sets their own browser as the default on their OS?

Every version of Windows that has a Microsoft Browser (Internet Explorer and now Edge) has Set the browser as default and always provided a way to change it to whatever browser you want.

Wow, Chris Beard is not doing the company he represents any favours by being salty like this. Anyone who has used Windows for two or more versions knows that Internet Explorer (and now Edge) becomes the default browser after install or upgrade. It is very easy to set your desired browser as the default, simply open it and you will be asked. I use Chrome and all I had to do was click the Chrome icon (which was still in the same spot as it was in Windows 8) and choose yes when it asked me to be the default browser.

For what it is worth, I like Edge. When it gets plugin support, I am going to use it as my day-to-day browser and see what happens. As a front-end developer who remembers the pain IE6 and IE7 caused, I am still willing to give Edge a chance. Chris Beard needs to chill because he is making Mozilla look bad.
