I'm playing family tech support for a gaming PC and am scratching my head a bit at this one. No obviously identifiable event manager or performance related issues.
System: Windows 10 Enterprise
- I7-6950X @ 4.1 Ghz
- 64 GB DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz
- 1TB 960 Pro M.2
- 1080 Ti
- 34" 100hz 2k primary display, 27" 2k secondary
The absolute MOST I've ever seen the CPU hit is 19%, RAM 25%, disk 50%, and GPU 88% while testing running a few steam games and playing youtube videos.
Symptoms: While gaming on the primary monitor (think something low-resource like Dota 2), the moment either Waterfox, IE, or Edge load up Amazon Video, Hulu, or Netflix the system starts to stutter and skip. Mouse movement, keyboard movement, every few seconds. System resources never exceed the numbers listed above.
Is this an issue with flash/silverlight? I've updated all BIOS, all drivers, and all software packages on the system, yet this issue always happens with the aforementioned video services.
This is why I run Linux.. any ideas?
