I don't think popularity contests should decide these sorts of matters. I am aware of the situation, and given the information I have available I would say that this person is not a proper fit, but I am refraining from voting on your post because this is not how things should be decided.

Remember: Brigading takes advantage of situations like this, and brigading is generally not a good thing.

Well it's gonna be very, very biased and inaccurate because it's harder to downvote.

It does though - in the court of public opinion. If you look around, you'll see other posts on this topic that bring substance to the discussion and aren't just upvote/downvote this if you dislike so-and-so. I understand the curiosity, but please at least bring something to the table.

No she shouldn't. As far as I have seen the one post that was deleted was for rule breaking. The people witch hunting seem like overzealous whiners who ironically want to purge her because of her wrong-think.

I'm downvoating his post because I think it's a stupid post.

If we don't like a moderator, we can ask her to step down. If she doesn't, we make a new sub.

The tyranny of the majority removing the liberty of the individual isn't really a threat here.

You're right. A democracy isn't always always a good idea. Everyone should have the freedom to speak freely. People can be easily swayed and lied to which then they will soon after for brigades for their newfound 'ideology'.

Not to be a jerk, and Im not weighing in one way or another, but a good many of Voaters cannot downvote. This would skew the results you are looking to obtain.

Well, if you cannot downvoat, maybe you shouldn't have a say just yet? Because anyone could just create a random account and downvoat something.

I think people who can downvoat are verified active members of the community to some extent and their opinions matter.

Your reasoning would only make sense if upvoating would be equally restricted (and maybe it should be).

but at least new accounts can't downvote, so they can't change the points artificially... kind of.

anyway if she will be removed, then I hope it will be for the right reasons, not because a thread got I don't know how many points.

I haven't seen any indication of SJW moderation in /v/AskVoat. The moderation is pretty strict, but that doesn't have to be releated to /u/she. As long as she's not given the possibility to take over the subverse there is no reason to remove her as a mod.

In fact I'm alarmed that /v/Voat claims to be all for free speech but is still getting the lynch mobs ready when a mod has an unpopular opinion (which is not interfering with her moderation).

An opinion never hurts free speech. Actions do. Accordingly we should judge our moderators by their actions, not their opinions.

She's a risk factor, but one that's very easy to deal with. We have public modlogs and problems can be discussed in /v/whatever.

It isn't the opinion, it's the dozens of removals over a petty and unclear rule that's being enforced improperly and on 200 plus up vote posts....

If it were about a user, I'd be with you, but this is a person in power becoming a user or staying in power.

I'm not going to voat either way though, I've yet to see evidence she can't separate her ideals from her professionalism.

If you don't like the moderation of a subverse, stop using it.

/v/why does the same thing as /v/askvoat. Just use that instead.

Making SRS subverses and deleting a lot of things on /v/askvoat

She's basically a full time, super dedicated subverse mod, but from tumblr

Tried to purge AskVoat of other mods. That's when it started, here:

If you don't like how /v/askwhy is being moderated, /v/why is a good option.

For whatever it may be worth (I believe it isn't worth anything), I am the OP at the top of /v/askvoat at the moment. I do not think she should be removed. She expressed an opinion (which I strongly disagree with) that started the thread which was deleted. I then saw that the thread was deleted by she and thought it was fishy. I turned around and asked if others thought it was a coincidence. Yes I think she is a SJW, but she didn't break any rules. That is why I am of the opinion she should be watched closely but not have mod status removed.
