No. Only if he fucks with a sub I mod will I ban him or anyone else. This is what caused many people to leave Reddit: getting banned from a sub you never participated in.

Before PV steps in to call me a supporter of HenryCorp: I am not. I don't like or support him, his subs or his alleged shilling. I merely refuse to join the bandwagon of mob justice against him.

I am not going to ban him except if he spams the subverse, because this is how voat is.

I will ping him in every comment I make, because this is how I am.

When I get home from vacation, I will look into feasible means of ruining things for him in as many ways as possible.

I'm not banning him from any of the subs I moderate unless he tries to cause a problem on any of them for this reason.

The type of mod we really need. Thank you.

Don't bring reddit practices here please.

I agree. Let's not sink to his level. Just downvote him on sight and ignore his subs.

"First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist; Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak out for me"

This is how it begins. We cannot ban HenryCorp for being an asshole without also justifying the banning of anyone else for subjective reasons as well. Sure, that's fine when good people are in power, but that's not always the case. It was not that long ago that /u/she was mod of /v/AskVoat, and HenryCorp has power now in his subverse. Who knows what will come next and whether we want them having these powers. We are not Reddit, we know better than to use power in this manner.

But the ban button is all the way over there. /sigh

@HenryCorp, fuck you for making me consider moving my hand a fraction of an inch.

If we're not banning people for following others around just to pester them I don't see why we should ban him for doing similar in his own spaces.

Takes a lot for me to willingly be a hypocrite and I've never interacted with the guy.

That would mean doing the same exact thing users complain that he's doing (preemptively banning users who never visited his sub before). No.

No. Until he messes with one of our subs and causes trouble, I cannot in good conscious ban someone who has not participated in the sub.

Besides, I kinda like that our banned number is zero.

lol, one is just a CSS sub to test out features like emoticons and layout stuff. The powerpuff girls was made for the new series, but fuck, the new one is just bad; I couldn't care less if someone was to shitpost about how bad the new one is.

Banning someone from a subverse on Voat doesn't stop him from browsing the subverse or reading comments. It just stops them from submitting any new comments or submissions and upvoting or downvoting anyone else's comments or submissions.

So basically, with his current habit of only commenting and posting inside the subverses he moderates, you would just take away his ability to upvote and downvote outside of his "safe space" subverses, while also removing his ability to "have his say" if he really wanted to say something publicly.
