I'm agnostic and for equal marriage, but I just think it's a bit of an oxymoron to be a jew and pro equal marriage.
Unless you understand that marriage as it currently exists in the United States is a secular government validated civil contract and not a religious custom.
There's nothing hypocritical at all about saying you don't do same sex weddings in your synagogue but that the county courthouse has to issue the official government non religious paperwork.
