Diversity in some films is not only unnecessary, but makes the movie worse. There are too many black people in medieval European films, and it's bull shit. I love Asian movies, and I've watched a few that take place in history, and I would think it was the dumbest shit if there were white people in those, so it's not a double standard.

More often than thought by a person who says "No black people ever existed in medieval Europe, ever", but less often than thought by, say, Hollywood, or even worse the producers of Doctor Who.

The vast, vast majority of people in medieval Europe would go through their lives without ever seeing a black person. Of course the vast majority of people in medieval Europe went through their lives without seeing very many other people at all outside their immediate surroundings.

I was just thinking about how ridiculous it would have been for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon to have a couple token black guys.
