Sugar will kill more people than Hitler ever could have dreamed. Unfortunately, it will be his own people as well. Good news for the muslims, though.

People grow up and have kids long before sugar can kill them.

Yeah, it takes a long time for diabetes and metabolic syndrome to really kick. It turns out medicine is just as easy to consume as sugar, so it tends to balance out enough to keep you living a while.

It was tongue-in-cheek humor, to be honest.

At least sugar isn't the main dietary staple for them, though. It's a treat. That's more what I was getting at, the rest is hyperbole.

LOLOL.

Not mine. I'm not spending 7 bucks for a cup of coffee.

You can't really call it a coffee. It's more like a milkshake.

It has been said that Starbucks is a dairy company rather than a coffee company, based on the amounts of ingredients used. It's not wrong.

That's sure how they look to me, too.

Milkshakes are usually cheaper too.

I think Starbucks understands their audience way too well. Its amazing to me how much women (fat women particularly) get absolutely ass rammed by that company and they allow it with a fat pudgy-cheeked smile because "owie my period" or "I've been good, I deserve my frapabeetus" I hate that company with a passion.

Frapabeetus

I'm definitely using that from now on.

Me too! You can't go a day without hearing about them because of their massive social media campaign.

I went to a university that was surrounded by original and local-chain restaurants. Nearly all of them were fantastic. Great coffee places, great fast food places, unique products, cheap prices, just about anything a college student could ask for. Can you guess which places were crowded 24/7? Starbucks and Subway. Made me want to cry.

Drinks are the leading reason for obesity. It usually goes uncounted and people don't realize they've exceeded their calorie count from drinks alone.

There's a fat bitch say infront of me on the bus, as I was reading this comment an unopened bottle of mountain dew fell from her bag and rolled against my feet. I've got it held between my boots now. She's not getting it back. She's listening to music so she didn't hear it fall or anything.

Pretty funny that destiny has given me a way to deprive a ham of 250-350 calories of sugary drink I was reading your comment.

Watched my coworker walk in with 3 croissant egg and sausage sandwiches and two bottles of Dr. Pepper for breakfast. That's like asking for a heart attack

It's also the leading reason for infections, water is everywhere in our body and we should be renewing it with clean water, not goo, failure to do so results in damaged tissues favoring infections.

no one is forcing them to drink those drinks though. blaming a corporation for obesity is laughable. it's your own fucking fault you fat shit

Yep, and then binge drinking almost every weekend.

The freshman 15 is a very real thing, and for a lot of people it definitely extends to the sophomore 30.

You can always reverse it, but a lot of people never bother to anymore because it's "ok" to be overweight.

So they're drinking sugar and then rage when they get fat. If you boil down to the real problem it's that they're stupid.

To be fair we do subsidize sugar (corn syrup) and spent forever demonizing fats and praising carbs. The public has been brainwashed to eat unhealthy.

This. I lost 20 lbs just by limiting the corn syrup produces I buy.
