good advice, but i can't afford to die right now in some botched robbery. Plus I'm not cut throat enough to be a landlord for a slum house where I probably will hardly ever get the rent on time. My main goal is to get out of the system while trying to help people out along the way. I like you're idea of accumulating assets though, and am fairly handy. Is it profitable to buy forcelosed houses not in the hood?

Section 8 means the government handles the check. You just maintain or pay someone to maintain the property.
Nothing worth anything was ever without risk.
