So I posted this in /v/subverserequest but too late. In short, moe has given up /v/worldnews to @system and will no longer be active.
And with this, I'd like to add we are looking for moderators, since @moe did the bulk of quality improvement for the sub.
Not really looking for those necessarily to enforce rules and moderation as much as to sort of actually be active and watch the sub. As a starter i've removing rules [3] & [4], and adding moderator logs on the sidebar (previously moe did not do this because the site is indexed, which means that bots will probe it and potentially spam /v/worldnews, which makes more work for moderation)
The other mods currently are /v/NFL mods, who I believe one of which will respond if you ping him. I will also respond if you ping me, and I'll baby /v/worldnews for a bit - but I lose interest pretty quick, so if anyone wants to come on and help, that would be great. (mostly looking for people who have a neutral point of view on moderation, rather then extreme not moderation or extreme moderation)
I'll probably write up a "moe Manifesto" on why all the rules exist and moe's point of view on "moderation" in world news to potentially help guide future moderators, but that will be up to them.
Edit: moe Manifesto

@moe probably won't answer, but I'd guess probably because it is a lot of work for someone who actually has to deal with real life things - and it's hard to keep moderators to those standards unless the person who has level 1 mod (system in most default's cases) is picking people who keep to those standards and watching them.
And trust me - it IS a lot of work @_@
