Here's one loose idea, don't take this as truth though, any real scientists chime in please:
The manifestation of symptoms seems to arise from the disruption of specific biological systems being involved in the viral life cycle, for example, the role of cell receptors and enzymes, like in SARS it is the disruption of ACE2 as the virus binds to enter the cell which causes biological feedback systems which then present as symptoms I.e. change in temperature.
Symptoms have to be present in a thriving host, because the virus cannot replicate without disrupting these feedback systems. otherwise the likely explanation of having virus but no symptoms is that the virus is being rejected and terminated by the body: it is present but its life cycle is not. This should indicate that the virus life cycle is not happening and the likelihood of the production of enough viral cells to expel the body and contaminate others is unlikely. And so 'healthy carrier' is an evil term for a healthy person with a working immune system.
If this 'theory' is complete shite please dispel it, if it has validity, please expand it.
The PCR test they are using is shit. A virus probably doesn't even exist. The CDC doesn't even have a sample to test against. It's a sham from top to bottom.
PCR isn't a test it just amplifies a designated compound, the test is then performed on the results of PCR process. The sample tested against is based on a sequence around 20 units long: SARS-COV2 genome contains around 30,000.
Because the sample is so small A) it is not representing the theoretical virus in full B) the small sequence range is [shared and present in] by other types of coronavirus and possibly other cells etc too.
Again, I am not putting these forward as scientific truth, but in this world we need to speculate and solve it ourselves it seems, so I'm willing to speak and be wrong in search of a better model. Any science ppl please chime in.

The inventor of the PCR tests says it's shit for muh Cohen 19 testing
