Eh… I say DST year round. It gets fucking dark here during standard time (we were on it perpetually until a decade or so ago; never should have changed times at all, but if we’re going back to not changing, may as well keep the light around).

Yeah I knew someone would come back with this 'DST is better than standard time' bullshit. Fact is, I don't care, it's only numbers, I just would be happier if it didn't have to change twice per year. (If DST was adopted year 'round that would then become the de facto standard time anyway)

It's not just numbers though. It really fucks with your sense of time. You lose your sense of the changing seasons. I hate it.

The preference for one or the other might change depending on whether you are on the eastern or the western edge of your timezone, as opposed to the middle.

In any case, whatever the choice, keep the same time throughout the year.

Because the numerals on the clock prevent you from going outside while it's light, or scheduling your day around it being light?

It’s a psychological thing. Extended darkness promotes social and interpersonal negativity.
