No update, but I've been to one, it's government funded development and syphoned off by the mob. So they have a fixed budget and when that runs out work stops. Theyll never be finished.

I've never been but I've seen videos of them where they look like beautiful first world buildings, but they almost never have power/water, so the people who live there (squatters) have to go down to the street, pull water out of a ground pump, then take it back to wherever they live.

There was one where the dude was in a modern looking kitchen with a 1800's looking cooking stove next to the door leading to the balcony.

Those cities are falling apart. Many segments now look like early Detroit. In some cases the fronts of buildings have fallen away.

Imoho, these are state projects to pilfer the wealth of the growing middle class. Built by state. Bought by middle class. Never lived in. Facing apart. Middle class have nothing to show for it. Government and their billionaires have all their transferable wealth.

Seems more like a jobs program and ponzi scheme moreso than anything else.
