It's so insane how they are trying to recolor history. Twatter is clamoring over "so cool that to find out he was black!'"

It's not even that hard to find the truth: the Smithsonian Museum has a colored portrait of Dumas painted in 1855 in their public online archive. Clearly a white guy. Also, that one portrait depicting Dumas' father as black was apparently painted by a guy born 14 years after his father had already passed away.
