Military don't get to sit in city or county jail. His first sergeant likely had to pick him up and confine him to his quarters as JAG draws up various UCMJ charges for a future court martial. He's unhirable for Federal and likely state work too when he gets his dishonorable discharge. If he had dreams of being a contractor for the DoD, that's gone too.

I worked with a guy that was a ICBM tech. The police (probably by agreement with the Air Force) were not even allowed to take them to jail.

If they broke a law the police scooped them up and carried them to the main gate.

To say the least that was NOT a break for them. If it was for more than disordly conduct in a bar their security clearance was history and they were on their way to changing brake pads on C-130s in Alaska.

But like say the military plans ahead for these situations. We’re not going to have 10 missiles destroyed in their silos because you beat up a prostitute.

Makes sense not to have someone destroy nukes. The only place I heard where the cops holds you in jail and the military allows it was Alaska and that's for a DUI/DWI. You get to spend 3 days in lock-up before you get picked up.

Yep. That's pretty much what I was getting at. What he was engaged in was open insurrection. I'm pretty sure the military take a dim view of that.

Yup, all he has to look forward to is his Big Chicken Dinner and spending some time enjoying all that Washington has to offer withing the concertina wire confines of the NJRCF at Ft Lewis.
