Her defense argued that she was molested by her father and that's why she lied to every single detective that spoke to her. It worked, she got off for everything except lying. For which she got time served.
She's been estranged from her family since the case and works in Florida for the private detective her defense team hired. I'm pretty much blown away. That seemed like a pretty open and shut case since nobody else could have committed the crime.
But because it took 5 months to find the body, and no autopsy was possible, and the jury was able to be convinced to ignore a head wrapped in duct tape. I guess, astoundingly, there was reasonable doubt.

try to prove that no other person could have possibly done it. that's right, you can't. the legal system does not require that for clear reasons - their job is to prove Anthony did it.
