You're correct. Hospitals across America were in financial trouble before this, and people only paid attention to their county health agencies when there were cases of food poisoning, so of course people like that are gonna push as hard as they can to get more money because you "can't let a good crisis go to waste."
To me, this whole "pandemic" seems like when a weatherman breaks into prime time programming during severe weather. They'll go on and on about possible tornadoes that are in the far western part of the viewing area in towns that nobody's ever heard of, but they've been given the power to go live and they don't want to give it up even though there's no tornado and even if there was it's out in the middle of nowhere. They could achieve the same result with a ticker at the bottom of the screen, but they'd prefer to interrupt your tv show with information that means nothing to 99% of viewers.
Yes, early on they were complaining about the lack of medical equipment. It's like what are you doing with the exorbitant amounts of the money being charged for their services then? Why would they receive money for saying someone died because of covid19? It's just so obvious.

One could care less. These articles are just propaganda to raise taxes on people for hospitals.
