Much like anyone, he's on a personal journey. However, for the most part of his career so far, he was far more concerned with the audience and his numbers vs. telling the truth. He's started to turn over the past couple of years, and lean more right because he was getting more and more hate messages for doing a relatively decent journalist job. Now, he's capitalizing on fame by addressing more striking issues because he's cemented his base. Most of the time people shit on people like him, they shit on YouTube whores in general who care more about their revenue and audiences' feelings than they do aggressively pursuing truth in videos. YouTube was never built to be a truth platform; anyone who makes a living telling "truth" on YouTube still risks no revenue. Even Crowder has to pursue revenue and funding outside of YouTube because of the rampant demonitization and advertiser outrage. As long as these YouTubers are controlled by money and financial strings on the platform they built themselves up on, they should not be considered genuine sources of revenue, and one should always know that they are inherently biased.
