Good point. This is a nasty strain with horrible symptoms, judging by what I've read online from recovered suffers' accounts, but it never was the return of the bubonic plague, and the extreme overreaction could only be justified if it was. Never attribute to malice what could be caused by mere stupidity and incompetence , but it's hard not to see the lockdowns as anything but a deliberate conspiracy.
At first they were likely just stupidity. Now though it is 100% on purpose. They know new cases are from home and lockdowns are actually hurting everyone but not helping stop the virus

Very true . The figures coming out of Sweden strongly suggest that herd immunity via exposure was by far the better option.
