So this happened to me twice over the last few months. I know, why smoke? But I'm an older guy with old habits and it's been a hell of a time kicking them. I noticed a trend when being approached by these degenerate fuck ups. They'll ask for a cig or money or whatever, and when you say "no" in a polite and non aggressive way, they respond with "oh, I couldn't hear you." While walking up. I suspect this is to feel out the caliber of your character and as an excuse to close that gap. Saying no to someone across the street, easy. No to someone a foot away, well, ccw ftw. Anyways, just happened to me again today and I stood my ground, told the guy to keep walking and not to trip on his dick. Be safe, be vigilant, be confident and if you can, be armed.

I never understood those fuckers. They want to bum a cig, you say no or let them know you have none and then they treat it as some insult and respond what they believe is an appropriate reciprocation

I think it's funny. I'm told that I'm a scary looking guy. So when I say no, it seems to stick.
