If I had a real mask I would wear it around others. Wearing a joke mask for the foreseeable future is not going to help.

Yes, it will. A mask made with cotton cloth will help. It will not stop everything. I've been looking at this problem for months, and this is the hand that most of us have been dealt. A cloth or even an N95 or better will not be 100% effective at stopping everything, but that's not the point. It stops most of the particles that would be carrying virii into your otherwise uncovered mouth and nose. Your body will have precious hours-days mounting a defense against an infection before (and if) you become symptomatic. Also, you will have caught most of the virii you're shedding if you're infected and not syptomatic... helping others around you.

It reduced what's termed "viral load": the number of virii than enter you. The virus multiplies logarithmically in the body, making the early stage with a low count the longest time period before full-stage. The more hours/days you can make that, the better your body has a chance to fight it. Added bonus to mask use is that it keeps your hands and fingers out of your mouth...(and nose, you sicko!).

Just wear a mask, look goofy, and watch people being stupid around you. Let this just be the disease that gets to the grubby, un-hygenic jews and negroes.

Lookup "peak prosperity" for some good advice and details on COVID, there's also plenty of "how-to" for making your own mask.
