Here's something interesting that many may not remember and/or know about. Windows 2000, although flawed like all Windows products, was the last sensible version of Windows that I can remember. It was two products, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Client. An operating system designed to be paired with a server operating system. It was a very straightforward and easy to use product. Didn't require "activation", you just punched in a cd-key and it worked. After that came the train wreck known as Windows Server 2003 and it's been downhill ever since.
