Almost.
I've been throwing knives since I was 8,9 definitely 10. My dad taught me the basics. How many rotations should it make, butt or blade held, the gist.
Well, I have taken that little bit of information and ran with it. I learned no-spin naturally, having never been told about it or seen it. Other than ALL anime ninjas no spin their garder tools.
But I was really breaking away from how people think knives are thrown.
First of all, if youre trying to stop someone from closing in on you, and think that you can rotational throw this right at him. Well, good job. You just gave him a weapon. Rotational throwing has its pros and cons.
Just like no or half-spin have theirs. But between Fedin, Mumyou-Ryu, and other unique instinct throwing, there is NOTHING more fun, stimulated, physical, self-defense, its so many things.
Alas, I'm basically alone. I don't know anyone who takes it as serious as I do. So I'm considering just plastering signs about a get together. Maybe even start a group.
So, besides FB, where should I advertise and what's one of the biggest draws from people whove never thrown?

Only time I'd throw an axe is if you were charging me from afar, and you were alone, which means you arent intimidated by my weapon in the first place, which means I'm making the right decision to throw it and run. I'd rather you stop to pick up my axe while I'm heading the other direction with a now-lighter-load than face somebody in close combat. I probably dont know what weapon you have that has given you the confidence to charge me, an axe-weilding man. Maybe you're on PCP. Maybe you also have a knife and my axe isnt much of an upgrade, or you are just plain desperate enough to charge me empty-handed. So I'd still happily toss it and live to buy another axe another day. Plus if I get a nice hurl in, you wouldn't be following me for very long as you tend to your wound - big or small. It would be a hell of a situation though that neither of us wouldn't already have guns and wouldn't already be on our best behavior because of it. Any other situation I'm not throwing the axe. If somebody gets too close then it's a moot point.
That said. Only time I'd do a video showing how much damage an axe can do thrown, would not be aimed at downplaying the severity of getting hit.
