I have nobody else to bitch to.
I finally have the money to do something halfway decent, but now I've lost months of my life trying to get these spics to show up to an appointment they themselves made. Supposedly professional engineering firms just tell me to come in several weeks in a row to just blow me off at the last second. The students aren't much better, as they're wrapped up in their own mediocre projects for contests they literally never win. I tried with the local SBA offices, but those spics are no better either. Supposedly they're swamped with work, but that was months ago; and I was supposedly going to get a call two weeks ago to set up an appointment, but, surprise surprise, fucking nobody called.
The only one I could get to respond was a supposed "mentor" for SBA's SCORE thing, and we've spoken for a grand total of 10 minutes, with his advice just being to talk to engineer students, to find someone who has people skills, and talk to VR for funding. How the fuck do you people get even one person on board? Is this problem really just down to where I live?

If only they were as eager about making things as they were about having them.
Actually, fun fact: If things go even vaguely the way I want them to, I can make vehicles on-site, to-order. I'd just need either a garage, or a potentially even just a spacious back room. The roads are rickety, to say the least, but the Metro area has a shit-ton of abandoned buildings. I could probably get one close to the port while also being in the denser parts of the island without too much trouble.
The thought literally hadn't occurred to me. I doubt I'd do something like that, but I'll have to keep it in mind. Thanks for the advice.
