I have nobody else to bitch to.
I finally have the money to do something halfway decent, but now I've lost months of my life trying to get these spics to show up to an appointment they themselves made. Supposedly professional engineering firms just tell me to come in several weeks in a row to just blow me off at the last second. The students aren't much better, as they're wrapped up in their own mediocre projects for contests they literally never win. I tried with the local SBA offices, but those spics are no better either. Supposedly they're swamped with work, but that was months ago; and I was supposedly going to get a call two weeks ago to set up an appointment, but, surprise surprise, fucking nobody called.
The only one I could get to respond was a supposed "mentor" for SBA's SCORE thing, and we've spoken for a grand total of 10 minutes, with his advice just being to talk to engineer students, to find someone who has people skills, and talk to VR for funding. How the fuck do you people get even one person on board? Is this problem really just down to where I live?

Actually getting it on paper and manufacturing said idea. This isn't some pitch to some TV station or film studio. It's an actual product that needs to be manufactured, and I don't have the skill set to do all that work myself. Also, I have money- so it's not like I'm walking up to them with nothing but my heart and a dream.

Then get the skills or actually hire someone good from the states. It sounds like your idea sucks and you aren't paying for shit if nobody wants to take the job. Startup manufacturing isn't cheap, easy, or quick.

Yeah, that's the next hurdle. Not sure how it'd work out, since it's not like I can just fly people in. It'd probably be online, and that's a whole can of worms in and of itself.
Well you're not wrong about the second half. Can't pay for people that refuse the job.
You're not wrong, but that's not new information to me since, you know, I'm trying to do it.
