Any gun owner (AR15 type) quickly realize that semiautomatic is way better than automatic.

I can't stand three round burst, and hate auto. It's wasteful and honestly good for nothing in an actual scenario save suppression fire for egress. You can't maintain the weapon at the AR rate of fire (850) no matter what you think.

People that do this are just want to be talked about.

Even the ones with suppresors and fire supersonic ammunition. WTF?

3 round burst actually comes in handy close quarters while moving quickly, because your muzzle is slightly pointed down. As targets come infront pull trigger muzzle rides up through the target. I have been through training to learn this technique. I will say that I still prefer semi over burst, as I doubt I'll ever do rapid bldg cleanouts

Mmhmm. Hell, cringe and gay as it may sound, I learned from ARMA just how much better in a "real" scenario single-fire is.

I mean... You try spraying 31 rounds in well under 10 seconds at an enemy with a rifle at 300m and see how many times you hit the target.

Not once, I'd imagine. Not with any semblance of accuracy.

When a target is hit, don't expect to see blood. Be glad if you do. That means you can shoot again and hit him again. Source: Marine Corps friend deployed back in the initial invasion of Fallujah. (Is anyone surprised the Marine suggests shooting again?)
