Archived I'm taking a mulitple choice quiz online for a college class, and often times they have questions with answers with two or more acceptable answers. Am I missing something? (whatever)

Is this an examination tactic whose utility I'm unaware of? This always comes across as a mistake by the quiz/exam maker to me. Am I missing something?

It's pretty common these days. The indoctrinated only see one correct answer.
