Youtube has updated their terms of service. They've clarified their policy on hate speech.
So now, you're not allowed to promote violence or hatred against anyone based on:
- Age
- Caste
- Disability
- Ethnicity
- Gender Identity and Expression
- Nationality
- Race
- Immigration Status
- Religion
- Sex/Gender
- Sexual Orientation
- Victims of a major violent event and their kin
- Veteran Status
To make things easier, they've listed some examples. Hilariously, they've left out the targeted groups and left it up to us to determine who they might be talking about. Here's the list. Let's see if you can guess them all!
- “I’m glad this happened. They got what they deserved .”
- “ are dogs” or “ are like animals.”
- “Get out there and punch a ”
- “Everyone in are all criminals and thugs.”
- “ is scum of the earth.”
- “ are a disease.”
- “ are less intelligent than us because their brains are smaller.”
- “Our existence is threatened by , so we should drive them out at every chance we get.”
- “ has an agenda to run the world and get rid of us.”
- “ is just a form of mental illness that needs to be cured.”
- “ shouldn't be educated in schools because they shouldn't be educated at all.”
- “All of the so-called victims of this violent event are actors. No one was hurt, and this is just a false flag.”
- Shouting “Disabled people are pests!” at someone even if the person doesn’t have a disability.
- Disparaging someone for “pretending” when showing their Gender Identity or Gender Expression.
- “All of the ‘so-called victims’ of this are actors. No one was hurt.”
- Shouting “ are pests!” at someone regardless of whether the person does or does not have the alleged attributes
