Um... indigo children.

It was some media-pushed bullshit about how semi-autistic kids were magical creatures with some sort of connection to the under verse or some similar bullshit. I'm not joking. It was ludicrous, but was a big hit with a certain type of helicopter mom.

True. @shotinthedark: it was easy to find really cringey videos on the subject by Indigo mothers which would have served you and your inquiry well, but not anymore. Youtube lists only MSM documentaries now, catering to that demographics. It's the indigo Internet now.

I don't remember indigo children having anything to do with autism or any of that though?

They never used the word autism... because that would have spoiled the "indigo" magic.

But, basically, it was as /u/NOMOCHOMO said: poorly socialized semi-autistic kids raised by single moms and might-as-well-be-single moms.

Indigo children and autists are both in the "special" forces.

Started back in the 60s to my knowledge. Has links to age of Aquarius, procession of the equinoxes and all that shit. Least that's what my mama goat said when I bought it up in the 90s thinking I was original.

Single Moms who poorly socialized, spoiled, then deified, their autistic brats
