Why did it take 3 days to reach 220 miles when it took 3 days to reach 300,000?????
220 miles? They didn't go straight up, that's not how orbiting works. They circle around the earth, how much distance did they travel circling?
Then after they get to the same spot at the same speed they move very slowly so they don't crash and die, like how a helicopter lowers itself very slowly.
EXACTLY!! There's no reason to do it.
No reason anymore. It was a race, they lost. We haven't gone back, either.
Why did Columbus sail the Ocean blue...when it was extremely expensive and profits weren't guaranteed?
He took a gamble and won. Going to the moon is guaranteed zero dollars back.
Why did China go to the moon? Why did India? Why did Israel???
With unmanned probes. Do probes count as "going to the moon"? If so, the Soviet Union did gonto the moon, so you can stop worrying about that.
Thanks for being a good sport about this debate and actually engaging with me, I was reading back OP's comment's and mine and we didn't set a good example we look like unhinged lunatics. Ha.
Hey, no problem. You're a good dude and will discuss things like a man. I like hearing what people have to say. I know some of your objections and understand them. Some are based on personal experience, which is the best. Some are based on misunderstandings.
I keep bringing up mountains because that's my personal experience. I wish I could take you all on a road trip.
