Of course it does but most of these people who never worked out before won't be able to do any more than five in a row so they have no choice but to spread them out. I figured it goes without saying that do as many consecutively in a row as you can and only spread them out if necessary.

Fair enough. I try to never assume knowledge. I will agree 30 is much better than 10 pushups. More than 3x better for sure.

If you can only do 3 in a row do 3, rest for a min and do 3 more until you hit 30.
