It's the facial expressions. The nervousness. In her head, she is terrified, hence the nervous smile and laughter. "I better phrase this very carefully, or everyone will really call me a racist!"

But her experiences overrule the conditioning. The conditioning says "muslims are just like Swedish men, they will be respectful and gentle towards women". But the reality is "muslims are nothing like Swedish men, they don't understand 'respect or personal boundaries, and they will touch and grab whatever they want because they are savages." Until a well-conditioned individual encounters that reality first-hand, it's unlikely the conditioning will be broken.

There's a certain portion of people who can find their way out of conditioning without having something happen to them personally- I may be counted among them. But most folks need to be shaken out of it.
