Credit cards are predatory by nature. They prey on those who lack the mental fortitude to use credit wisely.
Defaults are sharply rising.

When you are living with your parents, don't have car, health, or any other insurance in your name, don't have a loan on any car because your parents hold the note, and the only thing on your credit history is your student loan debt, you don't get offered enough credit to do any damage.
