Been going on for a long time - Proverbs 30:20 "This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, 'I've done nothing wrong.'

I haven't read the bible- yet, but I must say I'm never surprised when it explains our reality in such a succinct way.

Go read Genesis and find out what God said was Adam's sin and the reason he was cast out of the Garden and forced to toil. It's mind blowing when it comes to women.

you'll like 1 Timothy 2:12 "I suffer not a woman to teach or to usurp (take) authority over a man, she is to be in silence."

Remember Adam was created in God's image not Eve.

Gen 1:26 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

I suppose you could infer that God created man in his image. He created both male and female, but only man was created in God's image. I don't think I ever read those verses with that interpretation.

You win this thread, but it sounds more sanctimonious if @Zen-Zinxe says it more biblical:
Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

Here the New Living Translation; it's pretty dark:

An adulterous woman consumes a man, then wipes her mouth and says, “What’s wrong with that?”
