If people understood basic game theory, systems theory and statistics, half of the shit we have to deal with nowadays wouldn't even happen.

At least half of all people don't even have the vocabulary necessary to explain to them what those concepts are, much less retain anything other than a tenuous (and exploitable) grasp on them. We're fucked.

I don't remember it very well. I learned about it in an econ class in high school. All I remember is that you get less working together, but it's guaranteed. You can get more by yourself but the other guy can fuck you over.

An easier way to remember it is that cheating is individually profitable and the correct strategic play but mutually destructive.

I.e. It's correct strategically to add men to your women's soccer team but mutually destructive. The correct strategic decision making converges on everyone using only men making everyone worse off than when they started.
