I've seen pro-lgbt people argue that the FRC statistics about 33% of child molesters being gay are wrong because the child molester is otherwise a straight man who only has sex with adult women...What would you say to counter that argument?

Sadly, I don't think there's anything you CAN say to counter it. That is, if someone is already so far gone that they're willing to twist words and create new definitions of "gay" and "straight" which happen to conform to their worldview, then I doubt that there's any evidence you can present to them to change their mind. I guess these arguments would have to be taken on a case-by-case basis; I doubt there's any "smoking gun" argument which would work in every case.

Thank you. I think I agree with all you just said. It is frustrating to argue with people who start trying to redefine the accepted meaning of words halfway through a conversation.
