Question which is making me too curious not to ask - in Lesbian Chess, what is the win condition?

I'm not sure if it would be taking both/all opposing queens, taking one queen, etc. Whether players have to call 'check' if a queen is threatened or the final queen is threatened is also unclear, though scrapping the rule is fine (I'm actually for removing check/checkmate from regular chess and replace the whole thing with 'just take the king').

Also:

  • If one has to take all opposing queens, that definitely makes promotion powerful for survival / critical to prevent happening beyond the 2nd as stated in your promotion rule (or a massive liability if not a single queen may fall).
  • Conversely, if one wins by taking just one queen then it adds many high-risk dynamics to invoking a queen as a powerful piece, since it would be fatal to position the pair of queens such that the opponent can threaten both with one supported piece (or unsupported knight), or by moving a piece to threaten one which previously was blocking a threat to the other.

The REAL object of Lesbian Chess is to make your opponent grovel in surrender.

Crush your enemy... See them scatter before you. Listen to the lamentations of their pawns.

Original post stated that's it's a fight to the death. That means you have to kill all the opponents' pieces.

Calling check wouldn't work. The king is distance-limited and can't generally kill the attacker if they're more than a square away.

Queens would have to be a trade in this system, so it would fail without a massive oversight on one side.

The object of Lesbian Chess is to kill all your opponents. ...or make them surrender if they can't escape. If they can make 5 moves [run away] when given no other option.... it's a draw.
