Storm season (getting some here in Oklahoma as I type this), and we need to help others that may not know the proper ways to make it through this shit.
Number one thing is if you are driving and come up to a hail core do NOT stop under bridges! Shit is dangerous and fucks are doing it here in Oklahoma right now.
If you hear the siren take warning. Doesn’t mean it’s coming for you it just means there is a high possibility it’s close. Most places test the sirens and some they don’t so you can tell this when they set them off at a storm because you will hear them closer then ever before lol.
Hate to say it, but tv and local channels will usually cover this and you can get better prepared.
Ways to know you are going to get fucked.
Green sky. This is the biggest oh fuck indicators. Means the tornado or at the very least rotation is very close. Be sure you stay safe because I have personally seen a 2x4 go directly through a highway divider on I-35 here in Oklahoma before.
Just remember that after the storm people will need help, and I save vacation time for that very reason each year. Don’t care who or what they are, because someone would help me if it happened.
Stay safe goats

You'd be pleased with how much weather lingo Okies know, due to our weather guys. Inflow and outflow boundaries, couplets, updrafts, mesocyclones, inflow notches, laminar flows, etc. One station put in a million watt, dual pole radar last year and that puppy is impressive. They even show clouds of bats leaving caves in the springtime, at over 150 miles away and a monarch butterfly swarm this last fall. We also have the largest group of chasers in the nation who are linked to the TV stations. We have the Natl Severe Storms Lab just south of OKC who have an extensive amount of radars. We really are tornado aware as anywhere in the nation.
