Much of this is factually true. But, it also is misleading in the way that it is presented.
The article claims that, for thousands of years this nation was known as Persia. This is true... sorta. The ancient Greeks called it Persia, and that spread to much of the outside world. The Persian empire was conquered by the outside world a number of times, and "Persia" became a term that could be used by the Persians... but this was a foreign word. Iran, or some variation thereof, had long been the native word for this land. Iranians called themselves so, long before Hitler's ancestors even knew about this country.
Persia was not changing its name to Iran in 1935. Instead, Iran officially asked the rest of the world to start calling it by its native name in 1935. I think that's a meaningful distinction.
