The Chinese invade a different way. Chinese mom and dad visit America to buy a house in a city with decent schools. Grandma and school-aged children move into house. Mom and dad go back to Hong Kong, Chungking or Peking to work. Grandma raises kiddies in America and probably gets social security or welfare... because Chinese know how to game the system. Im not sure if the kiddies get gibs, but they probably do because granny is their guardian. Mom and dad return to Hong Kong to work. They send money back to grandma.
Everyone's happy, except for American Worker Bees who fund grandma and are pushed out of good neighborhoods as the chinoise push up housing prices.
Is this something I know from internet research? No. It's what happened when I sold my crappy post-divorce house about 10 or 15 years ago when I realized I couldn't afford the place on a single salary. I sold to an extended Chinese family. I watched what happened to the area. They come like locusts.
I have no problem with Chinese Americans who grew up in America. They are Americans for the most part. The foreign nationals are invaders just as much as the Somalis and the Hondurans, but the real estate agents and the sellers love this shit so no one complains except for ME and the people in Vancouver, BC. Vancouver became Little China in the 90s, when Hong Kong reverted to Chinese ownership. I'm sure there are plenty of cities in the Commonwealth (probably Auckland, Melbourne) where the locals would tell the same story.
