Because God gives us all that opportunity. Judaism is dead, Islam is a twisted hateful reinvention, Hinduism is changed with the whim of political leaders into a very odd religion. Shintoism is pokemon, and buddhism isn't even a religion. It's about worshipping yourself.
You would do well to read chapter 5 of the Great Divorce by CS Lewis. It's about an apostate who questions everything, even while in hell, he cannot fathom that hell is real. The whole chapter is a rebuttal of William Blake's 'the marriage of heaven and hell' which has ideas similar to what you're talking about
The happiness you can achieve without God, pales in comparison. The happiness another human can give you is a little better, but still just a taste of what God offers us.
Eternal life, eternal happiness await you. Philosophy turns into a distraction if you let it. There are some questions in life that are better left unexplored, until your faith is strong enough imo. Not something a non believer would like to hear I think...
