Falling into any addiction trap is always a mistake that could easily become a tragedy. In my teenage years my circle lost a member two weeks after his first taste of heroin. Conversely, I've met a couple old timers who successfully hid and managed their habit almost their entire lives.
Pillheads on the other hand seem to suffer major organ failure as little as a year into their addiction. Maybe it's the delivery method. Slamming that shit directly into their veins bypasses the digestion system and therefore isn't effected as much. I'm not a doctor, but doctors seem to pass out these pills like candy, so if you sprain your ankle and trust your doctors pharmecutical recommendation it will probably come with a serious problem.
Just take the pain. It will soon pass. Opiod addictions could take years to get over, if at all
