At first I was little skittish, being by myself, but then I realized people were drunk and stumbling around, puking in the streets, and so I'm sure didn't even notice what I was doing. I hit 15 different locations. Took me 1.5 hours. After I finished, I backtracked and only 2 of the 25 had been pulled down, and most likely those 2 had been pulled down by sanitation people who were emptying garbage cans in the area. I went out alone without a mask. I'm interested to see how many are still up tomorrow afternoon, and the day after, etc.
It was fun to do, and a little thrilling since my city is very liberal and only half White.

I left one message on a public wall recently that welcomed people to write messages leaving their opinions on Australia's refugee policies. It was all polite stuff, almost everyone with the "yay diversity" angle but one or two saying we should support our own needy instead.
Within two days my "It's okay to be White" had been scribbled out, with some enthusiasm by the looks of it, with messages surrounding it including calling me a "FUCK WIT". Lovely.
I wrote it again. I don't care what they think of me, but I do care that they blanked out my opinion. I have every right to leave it there like everyone else.
Good luck with yours!
