Atheists believe there is no god.

Believing there is not something and not believing in something are very different things.

But when the existence or nonexistence of that something cannot be proven either way, because it cannot be tested, then both certainty of belief and certainty of nonbelief require faith, because there is evidence for neither.

Again, certainty of non-belief is very different than non-belief.

I.E. I don't believe in dragons, but I'm not 100% sure they don't exist. My life doesn't revolve around the non-belief of dragons and it requires no faith.

Edit: Non-belief is not an absolute, belief is.
