Starts to get really shitty at about 14 minutes. He starts to change his tune and justify the idea of a code of conduct. He tries to be reasonable about it. But I don't agree.
I can even admit that before this current CoC was levied and the blue hairs started getting all loud I might even have been willing to discuss a code of conduct. Not this one, but in theory one that is inclusive of straight white males instead of directed against them might be worth discussing.
But now, that the blue hairs are mobilizing? Naw.. discussion time is past. Now is the time to bring the hammer down to save linux.
If you do not submit or curate code you get no voice in the linux community. That would shut down half of these wretched harpies right there.

That's what I'm saying. If the CoC wasn't guaranteed to be weaponized against capable programmers, I might have said, "okay, sure." Maybe I still wouldn't have liked it. I mean, let's face it, I've seen selective enforcement and burial. Hell I've been through them but I can agree that the current CoC, by their own admission, is made for just that. With Linus being around as long as he has, I'm seriously surprised that he didn't step in and tell them all that there was no fucking way on earth he was signing off on that. Honestly, I hope that those that will be marginalized by that very CoC fork off and take their code with them. At this point, holding the entire kernel hostage is, in fact, the only option.
