I was reading this thread on Reddit about the Chinese getting caught cheating and complaining about it being "unfair" that they're not allowed to do it. Then I read all of the comments by the moral faggots on Reddit pretending that America is above cheating.
Cheating is doing whatever it takes to win. Competition isn't about playing fair. It's about winning the prize. Even the top players in sports talk about strategies for getting away with illegal activity when the ref isn't watching. There's also another thread talking about rule enforcement during the Serena Williams match. Many are arguing that the rules should be selectively enforce depending upon the situation. It's well-known in playoff games that the refs are supposed to "let them play", which essentially translates into ignoring the rules for the sake of the excitement of the game. Even when we're driving in our cars we feel that some violations should be overlooked by cops. How many would complain if they got a jaywalking ticket? This is essentially cheating as well.
Rules are suggestions until they are enforced. Cheating is essentially testing which boundaries apply and which are just scare tactics designed to bring artificial integrity to the game.
Cheating doesn't infect competitive environments. It is a product of competitive environments.
