I remember almost flying out of golliath as a kid because they had those long bars as a seat belt and I was sitting next to a really big person so the gap between me and the bar was very large. Now they have individual bars and this problem doesn't happen anymore.

I think a hug was the most appropriate response to the twin's sentiment.

Thanks for sharing I'm glad your son is okay. You should definitely email the park or the owner with your story so they can do something about the gap. I'm sure they have to fill out incident reports or whatever but an email to the owner or people higher up the chain might get something done quicker.

Wow I'm not a parent but can only imagine how you'd feel. What kind of gap would be there though, I imagine thousands of kids are around it every day.

Glad he's safe though.

It's a small gap between the cars of the roller coaster and the platform, maybe twelve by eighteen inches. I don't know if ours was the first incident ever, but as we left we heard them announce that he ride would be closed until further notice.

That's a relief. Can't imagine you're the only one to experience that.

Oh wow.... First, I am so glad your mini is OK. Second, I want to commend you for just letting your boy have his feelings, scary as the wording might have been. I have one boy who has scared the holy Star Wars out of me on several occasions. (The worst being his first actual fall at almost a year old down a set of stairs while in one of those walker things on wheels. I almost killed my ex husband for leaving that fucking door open...)

Just remember to talk about it with all the little ones. Let them express their feelings and (even if it is difficult) you should tell them how you felt about what happened and how glad you are that everything turned out OK.

I hope you can get everyone back to happy and smiling. And I wish you and yours all the best. From one Goat to another, please take care and if you are so inclined, let us know that the minis are doing better in a few days. <3

Holy shit, dude, that's intense. I've been pretty fortunate that my 2-year-old (3 on Thursday) hasn't gotten into too much trouble yet, but she did open up the screen on a window and start leaning out of it a couple months back. We live in a second floor apartment. That was fucking scary, but doesn't go near your experience.

Kids, man, if you're not watching them like a hawk at all times they'll find a way to get in some sort of trouble. Usually it's not life-threatening, but sometimes...
