I was at six flags with my boys today ( eight year old twins and a six year old ). We were having a grand ol' time ' til we exited the Titan. One of my twins fell through a gap between the roller coaster and the platform. I freaked the fuck out. All I heard was a collective gasp, then absolutely nothing, as I looked down and screamed his name. The scariest feeling I ever experienced, and I wish it on no one. I couldn't see him. All I could see was a metal grate and some sort of rail around ten feet below, then the ground thirty or forty feet below that. Someone yells that they see him. Now I see him, too. He's startled but he's alive. His twin is crying and pounding his little chest in fear. They bring him to me and everybody scatters. I take him to first aid, where they look him over, give him some ice, and send us on our way. So I took him to real doctor to make sure everything really is ok. HIs arms and legs and back are scraped, his chin is bruised, but other than that he's fine. A little while later his twin tells me he would have shot himself if his brother had died. I didn't know how to respond. I still haven't responded, except to give him a big hug. It was a very scary episode and I thank you for letting me talk about it.
