It would be worth trying. Could the diamond be lab made and still work for storage? I should probably just do my own research into. Interesting stuff.

The patent shows that the medium is in disk form but the holographic storage exists between two plastic plates as opposed to traditional optical where the data is kept on the foil and read thru the plastic. They already got it figured out I guess. Diamonds would really be forever though because plastic is still somewhat a liquid.

Don't see why not? The only difference between them is one is made in a lab and the other is overpriced and owned by debeers.
