Now its time for the OP to serve upon the town and its law enforcement (and state authorities) NOTICES OF TRESPASS.

Its a simple document noting that the person served is not allowed onto your property anymore. And, yes, it has legal authority. Better than no trespassing sign as it is specific towards a person or persons.

Then they can only come onto your property to arrest you. If they come on just to talk, they have violated the notice and are trespassers w/o the need to tell them to get off your land...as you already did.

Thank christ someone is suggesting something correct on Voat for once. Notice of Trespass can be enforced with bullets.

'Snot a problem. As I said, I am not a lawyer - but I do have two summer semesters of law school (mostly procedure and ethics, as well as some case law history and some general history and learning to read the laws) and way more experience inside court rooms than anyone should have. It was part of my job and part of my job was to serve as an expert witness/friend of the court.

It's a long story...

Either way, glad that I was able to offer some advice. From your side of events, I'd not expect anything criminal to come from this - and that's a good reason to relax, lower your anxiety levels, and work on moving on from here.

Shh! Don't tell too many people, but I actually do try to give valid advice and to be helpful. Granted, that's a bridge some folks have already burned. But, I do wish you and your family all the good fortune you can muster. Please don't hesitate to keep me in the loop and let me know how things progress. I pay attention to pings and try to respond to them all.

The best things to do, at this point, is to stay calm and to start making plans to move on from this. Look for a path forward, look to avenues that cause the least harm, and be willing to ask for help from people who understand the situation. That's truly what's best for you and your family.

Please tell me the family is very grateful for your actions? I hope this new scenario is resolved quickly. And try your best to stay cool, brother. I know times are tough and it's easy to get upset these days I am guilty of this as well) but you need to remember that our time is short with our children, time only speeds up as we age. May you find some serenity in your life. All the best

This page has amazing information for parents in your situation.

I ended up spending 7-8 hours reading through these tips and the entire lawsuit he filed. Unbelievably tragic situation for this man.

Now you start finding out where all these fucks hang out when off work and wait for them to fuck up and make citizen arrests on them. I had a cop piss me off one time and I found out he goes riding on 4-wheelers on the weekend and that drinking is involved. I arrested him and he aint a cop anymore. I've had a handful of other fuckers who rubbed me the wrong way who I also arrested. No bullshit.

I arrested a city cop. It happened. Its a fact. Little bitch pushed his fucking luck. I studied my enemy. I watched him. I made my move. I charged him with DWI and held him until the state police arrived. CITIZENS ARREST. His little friends tried desperately to help him to no avail and I pushed to charge them with obstruction but the cops told me to be happy with my revenge. No way I could ever sleep again letting slide what he did to me. I was doing nothing and he fucked with me hard and disrespected me in front of my girlfriend. I also started hanging out at a bar he liked afterwards because he's no longer a cop and I wanted his soul. He moved to another state. the pussy
