Gee, that's just the trend of things. IMDB removed the whole comment board. The entertainment industry is uncomfortable with the reality of its clientele.

Not sure how to put it, the "white privilege" crowd, the Bretts and Becky douchebag crowd, the trophy generation, freak out whenever they get criticized and their first response is to call the offending person a troll, block them or prevent them from saying anything. That's why you will hear some of them cry and complain about comments on boards from people who are rightfully criticizing shit they are seeing. They live in a bubble and are terrified about leaving it.

It's because they're producing propaganda and it's fucking garbage. They don't want people finding out that it's garbage and deciding not to watch it. They also hate criticism because it threatens to make their audience think and that breaks the spell.

Amazon prime seems to be doing the same thing. They keep pushing low-rated shit nobody wants to watch, but they can't hurry up with the budget money to make the next season of a show that has everyone hanging on the edge of their seat(Man in the High Tower, for example).

IMBD did it around the whole #metoo movement. Seems like they were trying to cover their ass once people started digging into all the other Miramax weirdness.

I seem to recall that was before all that. My perception was just that there were too many right-oriented commenters criticizing hysterical snowflakes.

Well with obama and rice on board, their propaganda might not be as effective if viewers can't leave any sort of reviews. They know this.

If you allow people to express themselves and share their own opinions, it's that much harder to shape them with a forced consensus.

Netflix is done. So sad. They know their programming is shitty, that's why they are doing this.

Where reviews are disabled, those are propaganda outlets. Makes sense. It will be difficult for Netflix to participate in turning children into drag queens if they listen to actual public feedback.

A 10 year old AI would have had more cogent responses. One thinks jozelle was running on an 80486. Or maybe she was just from the Philippine support desk.
