5 below

Little pisses me off more than idiots who refuse to go the speed limit. If you're too scared to drive, don't.

I only do that on one stretch of my commute where the limit is 60. I go 55 there (in the right lane) as people are in a rush to get to the other side (it cuts through a Navy Weapons Station) to sit in a red light. At 55 my car gets much better mileage than at 60.

I loathe the people that are doing -10 and slower than the speed limit. At a certain point, it makes the roads more dangerous and my opinion 10 below posted speed limit and slower is too slow. I grew up in Maryland and traversed up and down 95 on family trips and remember when the speed limit was 55, they had a minimum speed of 40. I think minimum speed should be brought back and enforced. I've had to swerve around gardening trucks struggling to do 40, and the flow of traffic was 65+ and that's dangerous.

Same sentiment for the folks that pick the lane right next to a construction barrier and then proceed to straddle the dividing line because they are too scared to actually fully enter the lane.

What point is there in going the speed limit when you know you will hit the red light? Do you like wearing out your brakes and rotors more quickly? Do you like wasting gas?

I've never encountered one of these idiots on the lead up to a traffic light. I have, however, encountered them on the goddamn freeway with the better part of the mile free in front of them. At least once I've even managed to get stuck behind somebody going 55 in a seventy - in a Mustang of all things.

I'll say it again: if you're too scared to go the speed limit, stay off the road.
